Our expertise

Bringing quality healthcare to everyone, regardless of background, by providing accessible, compassionate, and comprehensive medical services for all individuals.

Why It Matters

Social cohesion and child protection are not parallel tracks—they are interwoven threads in Iraq’s recovery fabric. When a returning child is welcomed into school, when a Yazidi artisan revives her craft alongside a Sunni neighbor, when a Local Peace Committee mediates a land dispute before it escalates—peace becomes lived, not just declared. Al-Liqaa Foundation stands with Iraqi communities to turn reconciliation from a national aspiration into a daily reality—one dialogue, one grant, one protected child at a time.

Our Approach to Social Cohesion

In a country marked by years of conflict, displacement, and social fragmentation, social cohesion is not a luxury—it is a prerequisite for stability and development. Al-Liqaa Foundation’s social cohesion programming is rooted in locally led peacebuilding, drawing on lessons from past interventions to design context-sensitive, multi-layered strategies that address both the symptoms and root causes of division.

Child protection for stabilization

The child protection activities target the most vulnerable children and their families/caregivers based on standard vulnerability criteria. In addition to the children, they focus on vulnerable children affected by armed conflict and recent returnee children from the Al Howl camp in Northeast Syria.
